Sara C. Davis

Sara Clark Davis is a native of Harrodsburg, Kentucky and a junior partner at McMasters Keith Butler, Inc.

Her practice includes defending professional negligence claims made against physicians, health care providers and hospitals. She additionally has considerable experience in personal injury litigation, insurance defense and tort defense. Sara is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Sara received her B.A. (2000) in Integrated Strategic Communications with departmental honors from the University of Kentucky, where she was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa. She subsequently attended the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, where she earned her Juris Doctorate, graduating cum laude in 2003. While in law school, Sara served on the Inns of Court and Moot Court Executive Board, and completed an internship with the National Labor Relations Board. She was also honored with the Bettman Best Petitioner's Brief in the Grosse Moot Court Competition, and she was the recipient of the CALI Excellence Award in ERISA/Employee Benefits. Sara is admitted to practice before Kentucky state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. From 2003 through 2006, Sara served as an associate attorney with Clark & Ward, an insurance defense litigation firm in Lexington, before moving to Louisville to practice with Phillips Parker Orberson & Moore, followed by Gwin Steinmetz & Baird. She has practiced with McMasters Keith Butler since its inception.

Sara is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and Louisville Bar Association. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, Kentucky Defense Counsel, the Kentucky Academy of Hospital Attorneys, and Inns of Court. She has been an invited speaker at the University of Louisville College of Medicine, and for regional and state health information management associations.
